Parish Visitor Program The Parish Visitor Program includes all of the care-giving ministries that church members carry out for one another. The goals of the program are to enhance the care-giving ministry within the Body of Christ that is commanded by Jesus, to respond to the needs for pastoral care among our members, and to provide an opportunity to participate in a ministry of comfort, hope, and healing.
The Parish Visitor Program consists of three ministry areas and works in the conjunction with the pastor & staff. The Parish Visitors meet periodically to coordinate and evaluate their work. Parish Visitor Program consists of:
Eucharistic Ministers
Shut-in Visitation
Hospital Visitation
Worship Ministry Members are invited to service in worship through a variety of ministries. Training is available to anyone wishing to begin a new area of service.
Healing Prayer Service
Assisting Ministers
Lectors (readers of Scripture)
Communion Assistants
Altar Guild
Ushers
Greeters
Eucharistic Ministers
Other Ministry Opportunities There are many ways to serve within the congregation according to your interests and talents. Money counters, Sunday School leaders, office assistance, and quilters are only a few of the many areas that we depend on volunteers to carry out our ministries.
